I couldn't have said it better myself

To the Editor:

The Iraqis want us to get our military out of their country. Most American troops want to come home. Most Americans want us to get out of Iraq. Most of the world wants us to get out. Only the Bush White House wants to continue, and even escalate, this war.

We must have answers to some fundamental questions. Why did the Bush administration invade Iraq, why are we still there, and why does it want to keep our military in Iraq indefinitely?

Even after four years, we have had no truthful answers to those questions. It’s past time that we learned what we are fighting for. Is it only to stabilize what President Bush destabilized?

==========

Oh ... and we got "official word" today that my son's Army Division has had its deployment in Iraq extended ... home in October instead of July.

Not surprising.

Still sucks.

You are right, Susan. It sucks. It totally, absolutely, sucks.

Thinking good thoughts for your son, and his unit, and all those in uniform faithfully serving in the face of danger.

I was so upset when I first heard this horrific and sad news...

I will contine to pray for Jim, and all servicemen and servicewomen, my Godson/nephew is on a submarine somewhere and we have only heard from him twice in 4 years. Bush is a friken stupid son of a bun...like Ann Richards said "poor george, he was born with a silver boot in his mouth.

I hate this war! It is hard to not hate the people who started it and continue to rationalize the horrors as if the people involved weren't human. This administration preaches "family values" while it destroys families both here and in Iraq. And none of the them has family involved. No deaths, no injuries that render one unable to live normally, no emotional disorders, no suicides or murders, no loss of income, etc.

Yet all they can do is pass laws against families that don't meet their prejudiced view of the world.

Prayers continuing for your son specifically and especially for all back home who must live with the legacy of the war.
